Many thanks, Carter. As discovered by our fellow International Artist Nivalis, Milton in his turn was inspired by Homer's description of Odysseus. An intriguing link, isn't it?
Moreover, this picture belongs to the series that will illustrate the IA edition of Tasso's long poem "On the World's Creation," but as a counter-melody, so to speak, because Tasso's concept of Adam was completely different, that is . . . (readers will see)
