2001: Forty Years Later

Joe Bisden has written an astonishing study of Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey.

I am reading this now.
--I've been onto Kubric, Boorman, Polanski, and a few others as regards their Art presented in their films.

Thanks for posting this. :)

When I began reading the abstract I was skeptical. But as I read into the article I was quickly drawn in and amazed. I've seen the film many many times and had long thought I had it "figured it out," but there is certainly a lot more going on there. I am sending the link to everybody.

You have good taste in film makers. I'd add Fellini and Vadim to your list, too. ;-)

Thanks. :D

I will have to view an entire Fellini film (or few), and something else beside Barbarella by Vadim befoire I can add them to my list. :D

For Vadim, try And God Created Woman.

For Fellini--view them All! My favorite? Hmm? Possibly Juliet of the Spirits, but 8 1/2 and City of Women will put you in that highbrow mood as well.
